used for yamaha 25 HP motor

(2007 yamaha 25 HP motor )I purchased this fuel line to be used with yamaha motor connectors. One of the connectors is original motor part and other new for new portable fuel tank.This hose comes with quick connectors on both ends. I clipped on motor and fuel tank and worked fine till you tilt motor or hit a few waves and then the fuel line comes loose from connector. the spring which keeps connector clip locked is not strong enough. When hose wobbles around a bit the connector moves from side to side and clip won't keep it locked on.I put a plastic zip tie strap around connector clip so there is no way the clip can lift out of detent. I didn't have this problem with old hose but wanted new hose with new tank.I loosen fuel tank cap so it doesn't build up pressure since the new EPA tanks won't vent pressure below 5 psi or something like that. I learned this after finding fuel leaking from both connectors where they popped off from pressure.nothing appeared defective and are now holding with zip tie straps. Not ideal, but...

The connectors on this outboard fuel line assembly were extremely poor quality. Granted, the Yamaha fuel line connection scheme is a bit touchy; but the connectors would not hold in place causing the connector to leak air. This prevented the hose from priming. I sent the whole thing back. You really don't want this kind of headache on the water.

I purchsed this as a spare. Connectors do not fit tightly, causing loss of pressure. My Yamaha motor is 1996. It could have a different connectionthan newer models, but nothing was mentioned about this.
